To introduce physical therapists to specific techniques that will allow them to assess the peripheral nervous system.

Workshop Objectives

On completion of the course individuals will be able to competently assess the lower and upper limb peripheral nervous system.

Registration and introduction
Theory - Anatomy of Brachial plexus, Disc pathology,
sensory, motor and reflex testing
Practical - sensory, motor and reflex testing of C5-T1.
Peripheral nerve testing of the median, radiai and ulna nerve
Break
Case studies of Cervical spine
Lunch
Theory - Lumbar and sacral plexus
Break
Practical - Sensory, motor and reflex testing of L1-S1.
Case studies of lumbar spine
Summary - certificates and dispersal
