Introduction to the Hip / Groin /  Pelvis.
Surface anatomy of the pelvis / hip. Bony landmarks - palpation
Surface anatomy - muscles / ligaments

Differential diagnosis / specific conditions that affect
the hip / groin using the Article.
Lunch
Practical – Examination of the hip / groin.
Also Lumbar spine, Sacro-iliac joint will be briefly covered

Practical - Rehabilitation / treatment of the hip

This is a very intense course using a high standard of practical skills; therefore a minimal level of Student ability is Sport Massage Therapist with ITEC, VTCT, Premier or similar diploma qualification.

Pre Course Learning is essential and we would suggest a good knowledge of the joint mentioned with particular emphasis on the joints/ligaments and muscle origins and insertions.

The course is run over one day and the venue is at the University of Oxford Sports complex, Iffley Road, Oxford, OX4 1EQ.
