SARAH MEAD
MSST, MSMA

I am a member of Abingdon AAC & Oxford Tri Club and I compete regularly for both clubs in road, track, cross country and triathlon races. It is this involvement in sport that led me to train as a Sports Massage Therapist.

I trained over a two year period with Birmingham based Active Associates, who specialise in providing quality therapists to top sporting events, television & concerts. In 2000 I completed my Masters Diploma in Sports & Clinical Massage, in which I gained a Distinction.

I have worked at many events over the last few years including the Abingdon Marathon, National Duathlon Champs, National Triathlon Champs, Oxfordshire County Badminton Team and Renault F1 (travelling to training camps with the drivers on the Driver Development Programme).

I am currently in my 6th season working with Witney Rugby Football Club, which includes attending matches with the team. I am also a British Triathlon team masseur, travelling to races abroad to provide sports therapy for the athletes and I am registered with UK Athletics and can therefore treat lottery funded athletes under the UKA voucher scheme.

My main hobby now is triathlon and I enjoy competing in both sprint and Olympic distance races.

I also enjoy music, reading & eating out.
